Faith Christian School CFO bleffew@fcslafayette.org
Thank you for inquiring about FCS. Below is a little bit of information about myself and my wonderful wife, Joan.
Joan and I have been in Christian education since 1978. We have been married over 45 years, have three children and nine wonderful grandchildren.
I earned a BS in History and Political Science from Virginian Polytechnic Institute in 1964. Upon graduating, I joined the United States Marine Corp where I was on active duty and in the reserves for 26 years before retiring as a Major. I also worked for Chicago Bridge and Iron Company as a personnel director from 1967 to 1977.
At the age of 37, I returned to school and earned an MS in Education and Supervision from Bob Jones University (1978). Since then, we have been involved in Christian school leadership in Memphis TN, Tempe, AZ and Blue Springs, MO before coming to Lafayette in 1997. Each of these experiences has helped us appreciate even more the necessity to partner with parents in helping to train our generation of Christian leaders in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
We are in our 11th year at Faith and have been amazed at God's provision and blessing to us and to our school ministry.
Starting next school year, we will also be overseeing the Faith Community Center Neighborhood Sports Leagues, Adventure Camp and Sports Clinics. |
